Lo-fi Shots
As promised, these are two shots (of the four total) that actually developed off my recent roll of film discovered in my toy camera. The first shot is an old shot of our dog Marley. The other shot is one I took recently to try to finish off the roll. It's a tree in our apartment parking lot. So what do you think?

I discovered I am the proud owner of a lo-fi camera, a Benz Gant Helioflex 3000T! I can't wait to play with it! It even has some old film in it.. I can't imagine what is on it. I promise to post once I develop anything good with it.

I missed you, Ugly Betty!
I am so excited to be reunited with one of my favorite tv shows, Ugly Betty. I was exploring the official Ugly Betty website and found the new original web series 'Mode After Hours.' It stars Marc and Amanda from Ugly Betty. It is hilarious! I insist you check it out!

Bad days & Good days
its been a bad day
Originally uploaded by dynamicdee - an official 365 failure!
I had a rough couple of days this week. I was just physically and mentally exhausted. But then my luck seemed to change... When I got home I had a HUGE box of goodies waiting for me! It changed my whole mood. How lucky that a friend sent a generous gift that arrived just when I needed it! The next day was great too, I had two of my favorite shows waiting on the DVR for me- Ugly Betty and the Cho Show.
THANK YOU KATIE!!!

Don't Exercise Too Hard!

Exercising seems to be my new 'thing.' I'm religious about doing it three times a week while I am at school. This is actually the first time in my life I've done anything about my fitness. The one thing that keeps me motivated to push myself a little further every time in my cardio is my workout music. So I thought I would share my motivating music:

Bojangles [Remix]- Pitbull

Project Runway
After watching so many episodes of the show (and watching lots of reality tv in general), it does seem like there are some patterns. If someone isn't given much screen time, they're probably safe. When there is a lot of time devoted to one person, that person is probably at risk of going home (or the producers want us to THINK that the person is going home). So when Keith got lots of time to talk to the camera, I thought it was a clue that he was gonna get Auf'd. I wonder if this will hold true next week...

Funky Hair
Well, lately I've been thinking about dyeing my hair pink. I'm not sure why the desire came now, but I've been thinking about it since at least March when I made this ATC with colored pencil:
I finally did it! I decided that my hair was short enough that any disaster would grow out quickly. The in-between step when my hair was bleached but not yet pink was scary, but now it's pleasantly pink :)

Katie has not only gotten my hooked on making Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) but now to 'Make it Mondays,' which is essentially a site that challenges you to make something on a particular theme every week. The theme this week was the color yellow. I was also inspired to make this card because of a musicians portrait swap that Katie and I both joined. Billy Corgan is my favorite artist of all time, so I decided to keep this card all to myself :)

Audrey Hepburn Art
Audrey Art

I couldn't help myself when I spotted these beauties at one of my favorite boutique stores (Cat Banjo in Raleigh, NC). The are spray painted pictures of Audrey on vinyl albums. They are signed by the artist, Garrett Gregory, and numbered. I couldn't resist the $20 price tag and bought two! Then luckily I found the album frames on sale at Michael's for $5 each. These are definitely great finds for an Audrey obsessed person like myself.

Welcome to Two Brains
Oh, and in case you are wondering about the blog title, here is the back story: one day one of our mother's convinced us we should start a T-shirt company. So we spent an entire afternoon trying to think of the coolest name for the company (mind you we were in middle school at the time). We were both top of our class throughout grade school, so we like to think we are pretty smart! So we decided Two Brains we would be the best name. We never started a T-shirt company, but I think this blog is the next best thing!
